Commercial Grade LiquidatorThe beefed up commercial grade version of the Original Liquidator Level Gauge features stainless steel cable and heavy duty brass pulleys.The Liquidator tank level indicator uses an external 2'' guide pipe not included. The indicator slides up and down on the outside of the pipe, and the counterweight is contained inside of it. Only the float is in contact with the liquid. Recommended guide pipe 2'' galvanized steel conduit, readily available from hardware stores, plumbing suppliers, etc. PVC may be used also, but galvanized steel conduit is preferred.Other Acceptable Liquids Sodium silicate, waste oil, waste water, effluent, molasses, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, etc. Liquidator liquid level indicators are often used on fertilizer storage tanks and swimming pool hypo and backwash tanks.True Reading Whether water or chemical, the true-reading Liquidator eliminates possibility of confusion by employees. What you see is what you have. True reading unlike home-made gauges that read opposite, these gauges show the true water level. The weighted float and indicator are connected to the counterweight by separate cords, each cord running over a pair of pulleys. When the float is half-immersed everything is balanced. Rising liquid level lifts the float up, the counterweight moves down, and the indicator keeps pace with the float. Falling liquid level causes the weighted float to pull the counter-weight up, and again, the indicator keeps pace with the float. At all times the indicator matches the liquid level exactly.
