It is designed for plate material with a surface hardness of up to 30 on the RC scale. It accepts plates up to 1 3/8'' thick with a minimum weight of 1600 lb. This clamp features a heavy-duty steel construction with a blue powder-coated finish and it has an ample 8000 lb. capacity.For proper operation of this clamp plate material should be clean and oil-free. This clamp should not be used to lift loads that are less than 20% of the rated capacity. It should not be used on stainless steel or aluminum plates. This clamp meets ASME B30.20 safety standards.
