Easily lift heavy plate material with this Vestil 14 3/4'' x 2 1/2'' x 6 7/8'' blue steel vertical plate clamp EPC-40. This durable clamp is ideal for lifting one plate at a time in a vertical position. It is designed for plate material with a surface hardness of up to 30 on the RC scale. It accepts plates up to 1'' thick with a minimum weight of 800 lb. This clamp features a durable drop-forged steel case and it has an ample 4000 lb. capacity. This clamp includes a pivoting bail for easy operation and added versatility.To securely lock the plate in place this clamp features automatic cams and pads made of serrated hardened steel. For proper operation of this clamp plate material should be clean and oil-free. This clamp should not be used to lift loads that are less than 20% of the rated capacity. It should not be used on stainless steel or aluminum plates. This clamp meets ASME B30.20 safety standards.
