Easily lift heavy plate material with this Vestil 12'' x 3 1/2'' x 7 1/2'' blue steel vertical positive locking plate clamp LPC-40. This durable clamp lifts one plate at a time in a vertical position. It is designed for plate material with a surface hardness of up to 30 on the RC scale. It accepts plates up to 1 3/16'' thick with a minimum weight of 800 lb. This clamp features a heavy-duty steel construction with a blue powder-coated finish and it has an ample 4000 lb. capacity.To secure loads this clamp includes a serrated gripper made of hardened steel. This gripper secures the plate in place and will not release it until the ring is pulled. For proper operation plate material should be clean and oil-free. This clamp should not be used to lift loads that are less than 20% of the rated capacity. It should not be used on stainless steel or aluminum plates. This clamp meets ASME B30.20 safety standards.
