Description

Todays powershift transmissions, wet disc brakes and final drives are becoming more sophisticated and complex. They utilize much more advanced materials than just a few years ago. As a result, they require fluids to give optimum performance while providing protection to all components to maximize longevity. They must provide smooth brake operation and reduce wear on gears. Powershift TO-4 Fluid is formulated to exceed all requirements of the TO-4 specification. Since Caterpillar no longer recommends multi grade oils for transmissions, hydraulics or differentials final drives, TO-4 fluid is offered only in grades SAE 10W, SAE 30 and SAE 50. Powershift TO-4 Fluid should not be used as an engine oil.
