About Pulsation Dampeners
Similar to a shock absorber on a car that limits excessive road vibration or bouncing, a pulsation dampener absorbs the energy from the pulse wave created within a pipe by a positive displacement pump. Designed to control rattling pipes, pressure fluctuations, pipe vibration, and more, pulsation dampeners are typically placed on the downstream side of the pump. They're effectively used where the pulsation is not wanted in the piping system and wherever a positive displacement pump creates a discharge flow in an erratic manner. You can gain even greater control of pipe and pump systems with our selection of sensors that can help monitor flow rate, and pump control boxes to remotely control systems.
