Tests show porcelain is more than twice as hard and twice as scratch-resistant as laminate, reducing dents, dings, and other damage. Surface is also 5.5 times more wear-resistant. Erasability is more than twice as good on a porcelain surface versus laminate dry erase surface when both surfaces are new, and holds up to use, showing times better erasability over time. Porcelain top is also resistant to delamination, keeping dry erasability intact for the life of the desk. Porcelain steel top comes with molded polypropylene edgebanding in black only.
