GN 923.3 flat-faced solid disk handwheels are distinguished by their modern design and are suitable for applications where the handle should occasionally be withdrawn. When the handle is pulled upward, it locks into a conical recess. The handle is now in its operating position. To fold it down, draw the handle back from the recess and lay it down into the neutral position inside the handwheel face. A compression spring holds the handle in both positions.
