Frey Scientific Magnaprobe Magnetic Field Detector contains a gimbel-mounted small alnico bar magnet that can rotate freely with changing magnetic field lines. It is a fast and easy way of demonstrating the three dimensional nature of magnetic fields. Ideal aid for conducting experiments on the forces between magnetic poles, fields around wire and coils, and the properties of fields produced by electric currents.

Magnaprobe magnetic field detector is a fun, hands-on aid for experiments involving the 3-dimensional nature of magnetic fields, magnetic poles, fields around the wire and coils, and electric currents. Users can simply move the probe closer to the Magnetic source and the small bar magnet will accurately point to the nearest pole (North or South). Small alnico bar magnet is gimbal mounted and moves similarly to a gyroscope as it freely rotates and charts x, y, and z coordinates around magnetic source.
