About Bar Clamps
Typically used in woodworking applications, bar clamps (a.k.a. wood clamps) are often used to hold wooden boards together while adhesive dries. Wood clamps can also be used to stabilize wood when completing sawing or drilling tasks. Bar clamps can be used in welding applications to hold joints together as they are welded. The jaws on bar clamps can adjust in length to work with different-sized objects, and have padded ends so they don't mar the materials they are holding. Along with plastic bar clamps and pipe clamps, we have additional clamp accessories to help with your next project. Our C-clamps and handle toggle clamp accessories can also be used for woodworking or metalwork applications, while bench vises are great for heavy-duty work.
Bar Clamps for Every Application
No matter the task at hand, we have the bar clamp you need to get the job done. Here are some of the most common types of bar clamps.
Types of Bar Clamps
T-bar clamps provide great support and structure when you’re working on larger pieces. The bar is shaped like a ‘T’ and is wide and flat. T-bar clamps are often used when working on wooden doors.
Pipe clamps are characterized by their circular bar. They’re great for use on smaller workpieces such as holding two pieces of wood together while glue dries.
Quick-release bar clamps allow the user to open and close the jaws quickly. They’re great for working more efficiently during clamping applications.
