ASI 2398088, type CL500-12, is a 1 hole long barrel compression lug without inspection window that is designed for 500 MCM stranded copper wires. It is used with a 1/2 stud and can be crimped. The CL500-12 1 hole long barrel crimp lugs are constructed of electrolytic copper which has been heat treated or annealed to strengthen the terminal especially between the crimps and tongue. The wire barrel of this 500 MCM crimp lug has a length that is optimized for ideal crimping and provides increased mechanical pullout strength in severe load applications.
