Description

This binocular phase-contrast microscope is designed for advanced education, research, & clinical applications focusing on live-cell studies. High quality optics & precision mechanics have made this time-tested design a favorite for labs across many industries. Brightfield & phase-contrast optics provide the flexibility needed for both fixed & live cells, fluids, & materials.


A phase-contrast kit is included, with three specialized objective lenses (10X, 40X, 100X) & a modular light condenser. Phase contrast is used to reveal detail in indistinct objects, such as unstained cells & microorganisms that would otherwise appear invisible. By using a combination of the specialized objective lenses & the modified light condenser, these invisible objects can be visualized by manipulating variations in phase.
