High Precision Portable Turbidity Meter Measures Total Suspended Solids from 0-20 NTU. The portable turbidity/total suspended solids analyzer combines the scattered light and transmitted light methods, and uses a near-infrared light source to eliminate chromaticity interference. Two detectors, 90 degrees and 180 degrees , are set in the instrument. The 180 degrees detector receives the transmitted light and the 90 degrees detector receives the scattered light. The unit then measures the ratio of the intensity of scattered light and transmitted light, and calculates the concentration of suspended solids and turbidity in the sample. The near-infrared LED light source is IS7027 compliant, and the unit offers IP65 protection suitable for field use.
