About Secondary Labels
Sometimes one label isn’t enough. Especially when dealing with potentially dangerous products. Secondary labels are designed to provide specific information on hazardous products stored in the workplace. Any chemical that has been transferred from its original container (whole or in part) to a smaller, secondary container must have a secondary label placed on the outside of the container. Globally Harmonized System or GHS labels display globally-recognized symbols for materials that are a health hazard, flammable, toxic, pressurized, corrosive, explosive, and much more. A Hazardous Materials Identification System or HMIS label provides a color bar and numbering system to inform employees on the health hazard and flammability of a certain product. These chemical labels are also OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) compliant. Zoro also has a great selection of label holders, equipment/container labels, label machine and tape accessories, and identification labels.
